Our Story

Built in Folsom, for the people working here.

Granite City is locally owned, and it started with a simple problem: coffee shops close early, and home offices get claustrophobic. We opened as Granite City Coworking in 2019 in Historic Downtown Folsom to give the east Sacramento corridor's independent professionals a real place to work — and later grew into Granite City Workspaces as the space expanded into meeting rooms, private offices, and event venues.

We chose substance over style from day one: fast Wi-Fi, private meeting rooms, great coffee, and free parking. Everything runs on flexible, month-to-month terms — no three-year leases, no fine print.

And we chose community over forced networking. The founders, consultants, and remote professionals who work here meet each other naturally — which is exactly how a tech week found its footing in this building.

Operated by the Granite City Entrepreneurship Foundation.

Folsom-Cordova Tech Week is operated by the Granite City Entrepreneurship Foundation (GCEF), our 501(c)(3) nonprofit. GCEF also backs Micro Biz Launchpad and Better Bridge — programs that connect local entrepreneurs with the practical support they need to grow.

What FCTW Is

A week of tech, startups, and civic innovation.

Folsom-Cordova Tech Week brings the region's tech and founder community together across four pillars — AI; Startups, Capital & Growth; GovTech & Civic Innovation; and HealthTech & Human Performance. Signature experiences include the hackathon, the pitch competition, the founder & funder breakfast, and dozens of independently hosted pocket events. Speaker announcements and the full program are published by the event's own organizers as the week approaches.
